Increased NT

Implications of high NT

 

Increased fetal NT thickness is associated with:

  • Trisomy 21 and other major chromosomal abnormalities.
  • More than 50 fetal defects and genetic syndromes.
  • Fetal death.

However, in the majority of cases the NT resolves and the babies are born healthy.
